Chef/Experienced Cook Required
at The Fat Seagull Restaurant Bar & Takeaway in Victoria
The Fat Seagull Restaurant Bar & Takeaway is seeking an experienced cook/chef to join our team from August, 2011. Only 90 minutes from Melbourne, Phillip Island is home to one of the most visited tourist attractions in Australia - the Penguin Parade. The island also hosts the Australian Moto GP, and hundreds-of-thousands of tourists who converge on our beaches each summer.
Well established, The Fat Seagull is happy to offer guests a vibrant menu of more than 80 dishes. We pride ourselves on offering the best value for money on Phillip Island for lunch and dinner daily.
This position is ideal for those on a work/holiday visa who may want a fixed 6 month (or longer) position before continuing their travels, or an experienced cook/chef who is considering relocating to our beautiful part of the world.
Accommodation assistance is available.
This position is for a guarenteed 6 months from August/ September until end Feb 2012. Remuneration is indicitive only and will be based on experience and qualifications. Possibilities for Rural Migration sponsorship for eligable candiates also apply.
Ideal candidates will possess a sound general knowledge of a kitchen environment, and all stations. They will demonstrate impeccable hygiene standards and ideally, will have at least 2 years previous experience. They will demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, and welcome service of up to 300 guests daily over peak events and during the summer season.
