Temp Chef/Cook

at Penong Hotel in South Australia

1x Chef or cook to run the kitchen of a small Pub in rural South Australia, starting ASAP until approximately the end of August.

Penong Hotel is a small hotel in Penong, South Australia, about 350kms from the WA/SA border. We are situated on the Eyre Highway, about 20kms from the coast. Penong is a small town of only about 250 people, but services a wider population, such as the farms and small aboriginal communities surrounding it. We serve food at night from 6-8:30, 7 days a week. During the week we generally serve about 8-12 meals, and on weekend, can be anywhere between 15 and 30.

Your job would be to run the kitchen, by yourself, except on Friday and Saturday when you will have a kitchen hand to help. You will be required to order the meat and vegetables, etc, however you will be given assistance if required. At the moment, your job will be from Tuesday to Sunday, with the option of working Mondays as well.

Hourly rate is 24.50, with free accomodation and food. Our current cook is working approx 24-28 hours a week, over 6 days.
