Sponsorship Manager

Role Outline
Sponsorship manages are responsible for selling sponsorship opportunities on IQPC conferences to senior level executives of public and private sector companies. This involves meeting with the conference producer to be briefed on the intellectual content of the conference, researching the potential market and sourcing leads from within the predefined categories. The role entails a cold calling element via the phone, creation and distribution of proposals and closing deals. Excellent relationship management of sponsors, both over the phone and onsite, is essential to establishing long term business partnerships. Commitment to the IQPC sales process is mandatory. The sponsorship sales department is a high energy team working towards individual and collective targets using a tailored IQPC sales methodology on which you will be thoroughly trained.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Attend briefing meetings with producers on intellectual content and unique selling points of conferences
Identify target market for solution provider sponsorship opportunities
Market research and lead sourcing of potential sales prosects
Developing a continuous pipeline of sales leads
Pitching and tailoring sponsorship opportunities to clients over the telephone and face-to-face
Applying the IQPC sales methodology in order to close business
Working towards monthly sales performance targets
Preparing sales contracts to send out to clients
Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
Onsite management of sponsors attending conferences
Behaviours and Skills Required
A good degree with 2 years commercial experience
Excellent team working skills
Desire and ability to work to targets
Ability to operate well under pressure
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Strong negotiation skills
Resilience and tenacity
An analytical approach to problem solving
Ambitious and committed to achieving success
Ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly
Maintain a positive work ethic at all times
