Nick Weir Contract Mustering is a family run business located on Miranda Downs near Normanton Queensland. We are a happy group of young people who all work together well A cook with extremely clean habits, good work ethic and a happy disposition is required. No qualifications are necessary just the ability to cook simple, satisfying meals
This position involves preparing and cooking meals for up to 10 people on a daily basis. The washing for the camp is also done by the cook. (Three loads per morning) Keeping the kitchen clean and preparing a store list are also requirements.
It is an opportunity to experience a real working cattle station while making a good income at the same time. Pay is $140/day. We work 7 days a week for up to 4 weeks at a time and then go to a campdraft or rodeo.
It is a remote situation that involves camping in a swag sometimes with little or no phone reception and no internet reception until we go to town for stores. The stockcamp runs on generator power.
