Job Description

A cropping farm in the Esperance area (Cascade) is looking for an experienced boilermaker/fabricator/mechanic to take on various workshop projects for the next 4-8 weeks, with the potential to stay on for longer term work.

Duties will include:
- Fabricating/repairing trailers and chaser bins
- Modifications and repairs to machinery
- General mechanical and welding tasks in the workshop.

Ideal applicants will have previous trades experience in welding, fabricating or mechanics. Trade qualifications aren't necessary, but experience is. No two days are the same in the workshop and candidates must be versatile and flexible.

After the first 1-2 months of work, there is the potential for this person to stay on for machinery operating work for the seeding season, so potentially the job could last 6 months for the right person.

Must have drivers license and strong English. A car can be provided for people who do not have their own transport.

Pay rate will depend on level of experience, between $25-32/hour. Up to 12 hours per day available for the first 4-8 weeks.

Staff accommodation provided free of charge. Esperance is 120 kms away.

This job will count towards the second year visa!
