Starting ASAP, a well-regarded cattle station near Port Hedland, WA is requires a station allrounder who can cook, clean and help with gardening work.
Responsibilites for this role include:
- Assisting the station cook with preparing breakfast and dinner for a crew of 10-20 people
- Cleaning the kitchen and the staff accommodation
- Gardening duties such as weeding, mowing lawns, raking leaves, shifting sprinklers
This position will also include about 4 weeks as a camp cook, working out of a remote stockcamp.
The successful person for this role needs to be versatile, flexible and energetic. We are looking for applicants with good cooking skills who can clean and also take on outdoor work.
Pay rate is $18.23/hour and accommodation and meals are provided at $45.60 per week. During quieter periods, this person will work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (40 hours). During the busy mustering period, this person might work 10-12 hour days, 6-7 days per week.
The station is situated on the coast, so there is plenty of opportunity for fishing, beachwalking, etc on days off.
