Au Pair Required For Small Family - 6 Months Minimum

We are looking for a fun loving au pair to join my small family of three to help with my 2 boys aged 6 & 3. We live approx. 500ks west of Sydney in Central West, New South Wales near Gilgandra.

A driver’s license, good English and a positive attitude are all essential.

We live on a farm, and I operate a cabinet making business so the opportunity to help with work to count towards second year visa is available. I would be looking for a minimum of 6 months if possible. Start date would be the 28th of October which would overlap our current au pairs time so she can help you find your feet.

I share custody of my boys which is arranged as a week on, week off basis, Monday to Monday. I require help during my week with the boys which includes the 5 business days of the week on and the following Monday as the kids go off to daycare/school on the week off.
Our current au pair works 3 days during the off week with friends and family of mine to make extra money which would still be available.

General weekly duties include:
• Dropping off and picking up kids from school bus and/or school and day care each weekday.
• Meal preparation for kids’ lunches & dinners as well as supervising eating of dinner each school day.
• Some help with 6-year-olds homework (reading).
• House cleaning. This will include kitchen, bathroom, beds, floors, windows, etc as required.
• Tidying up after the children during the week and assisting with washing, folding and ironing.
• The 3-year-old stays home Fridays so will require care for the day and flexibility for other days/afternoons where required.
• Some general home maintenance during time without kids. i.e. painting, gardening.
• Flexible availability on Saturdays on very rare occasions. Sunday you will generally not be required.
• A genuine interest in children is essential.

I will be present and assisting most of the time outside of my work hours as I value this time with the boys. The boys are fun and very loving, making them easy to get along with.

Hourly rate is around $22-23 per hour before tax. Generally, you would do at least 48 hours during my 6 days plus the extra on the other days with other employers. Pay is fortnightly.

Accommodation - I have a cottage on site which can be used for accommodation. This would cost $100 per week and would be deducted from wages. This includes power, water and unlimited internet. The cottage is a fully furnished 2-bedroom house which has been newly renovated.

Vehicle - A vehicle can be provided. It is a 2016 Subaru Outback which would cost $75 per week. This would also be deducted from wages. All fuel would be provided for use with the kids, but I would expect contribution for long distance personal use.
