Wedding Venue Managing Couple

The Sienna Hunter Valley a Maywild Group Venue is seeking a management couple that know what it takes to deliver high quality customer experience and maintain a 22 acre wedding venue property. The Sienna is the newest, Tuscan inspired wedding venue in the Hunter Valley. Not for the faint hearted, this role is perfect for an energetic and guest centric couple who are looking to take on their next challenge and submerse themselves into all that is The Sienna way of life. Seeking couples who are looking for longer term commitment and who are wanting to grow as the business does.
We are looking for a couple to be able to commit for a min 1 year period.

Role 1 - Guest Services and Event Manager

You will be responsible for all aspects of the business 24/7 including check-ins, customer service, phone calls, bookings, managing cleaners, rostering, supplies, event enquiries, conferences, weddings etc. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Front office admin

• Maintain guest and customer relations and online reviews.

• Respond to guest requests or needs on-site

• Administrative and office duties as required.

• Manage and oversee wedding operations, including food & beverage operations

• Occasional cleaning & housekeeping duties

•Quality checks on guest accommodation and housekeeping standards

• linen ordering and management

• online bookings management

• Managing check-in and check out experience of guests

• taking payments and reconciling income

• answering email enquiries

• Conducting wedding inspections and sales

• On the day wedding co-ordination

• assisting with event set-up, including food and beverage components

Role 2 - Grounds Supervisor

You will be responsible for the upkeep and improvement of the grounds working with the operations manager. Handy man/trade skills/ gardening experience is preferred. Tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Manage the grounds of the property

• Ensuring property is maintained appropriately

• Mowing lawns, gardening, weeding, whipper snipping, hedging etc

• rubbish removal and management

• security of the property

• cleaning BBQs

• cleaning firepits

• cleaning pools

• managing septic removal (we are not connected to council sewer)

• Waste management

• maintenance, trouble shooting and fixing things around property

• watering plants

• do daily inspections of machinery, plant and equipment

• maintaining cleaning storage and supplies and linen storage and supplies

• check gas supplies and order as needed

• check water supplies and order as needed

• keeping grounds of property and keeping it looking perfect


Joint Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of the venue on a day-to-day basis

• Handling all after hours work phone calls and trouble shooting (in-house guests).

•Onsite after-hours security and noise management

The managers are supported by a head office team, cleaners, event staff and grounds staff.

This package is a full-time position, with 1 bedroom onsite managers residence included.
