Job Description

Front of House (FOH) Supervisor Roles & Duties
1. Staff Supervision:

Oversee and manage the front-of-house team (servers, hosts, bartenders).
Train, motivate, and provide feedback to staff to ensure high performance.
2. Customer Service:

Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally.
3. Operations Management:

Monitor dining room flow and ensure efficient seating, ordering, and service.
Manage reservations and walk-in guests to minimize wait times.
4. Quality Control:

Ensure that service standards, cleanliness, and food quality are maintained.
Perform regular checks on tables, staff performance, and customer satisfaction.
5. Cash Handling & Billing:

Oversee cash register operations and ensure accurate billing and payments.
Ensure proper handling of tips and other financial transactions.
6. Communication:

Serve as a liaison between front-of-house and kitchen staff.
Relay guest requests, special needs, or orders to kitchen or bar.
7. Staff Scheduling:

Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during peak times.
8. Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all FOH staff adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and manage health and safety protocols.
A FOH Supervisor must be a strong communicator, organized, and capable of leading a team to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
