Geological Assistant

Munro Geological is looking for a Geological Assistant to work in a geological core library.
We are looking for an individual with an excellent work ethic, is easy going, but detail and goal orientated. Shows care and precision in their work and enjoys a team environment, but can work independently as well.
The role will include
• Stacking and unstacking core trays.
• Strapping core.
• Drill core packing and cleaning.
• Orientation of core in trays
• Familiarity the use of a brush, vacuum, small angle grinder, water hose,
and air compressor is required. A forklift license and drivers license is also required.
• Being familiar with working in core yards or warehouse situations is preferred. A current First
aid and CPR certificate is also preferred.
• Experience with safety management systems
and OHS standards is preferred.

You may also be assigned other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience
Previous experience as a Geologists, Environmental Technician or general laborer is desirable.
Work starts ASAP and the contract finishes 30 June with a possibility of an extension.
You need to be based no more than 45 minutes from the suburb of Londonderry, Sydney and have a car to drive to work as no public transport.
A medical will be required including drug and alcohol testing.
