About the Role:
The Outbound Travel Manager will assist with and execute the launch and growth of our outbound travel sales division. As a new revenue stream, this will require the wearing of many hats, with a willingness to get your hands dirty. Working closely with the Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for overseeing operations, driving sales, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the team delivers exceptional customer service. This is a key leadership role, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the trajectory of this division & company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Assist in the leadership & execution of a comprehensive outbound travel strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the outbound travel sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with the Head of Strategy to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Sales and Performance Management:
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Develop and oversee sales training programs to enhance the team’s skills and product knowledge.
- Set and track KPIs for team members, providing regular feedback and performance reviews.
Product Development:
- Work with suppliers and provide relevant feedback to build competitive and unique travel packages, focusing on Asia, Europe, and other key international destinations.
- Ensure products are aligned with market trends and customer demands.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote outbound travel offerings.
Supplier and Partner Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and partners.
- Resolve supplier issues to ensure seamless service delivery.
Operational Excellence:
- Establish and refine booking processes and operational workflows for outbound travel.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the implementation of travel platforms and technologies to enhance efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: Proven success in travel sales management, with a focus on outbound travel.
- Travel Expertise: Firsthand knowledge of key destinations (Asia, Europe preferred) to inspire and guide the team.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
- Sales Acumen: Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and the team.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Creative and proactive in addressing challenges and implementing solutions.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using travel booking platforms, CRM systems, and other technologies.
Key Requirements:
- Preferred 3 years of experience in the travel industry, including outbound travel.
- At least 1.5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of outbound travel markets, products, and customer preferences.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
