A successful family-owned dairy farm in the upper Murray region on the NSW/VIC border. This picturesque and productive property borders both the Murray and Swampy Plain Rivers covering some 840 acres that include a mix of river flats and rising country.

This innovative dairy farm has a focus on profitable production, currently milking 400 cows in a 20-aside double-up rapid exit dairy, fully equipped with automatic cup removers, auto draft and Afimilk technology which monitors the cows, including their rumination and aids in heat detection. To compliment this operation plans are underway to install robotic calf feeders along with a loafing shed. A split calving is in place along with a synchronized AI program, sexed semen is used on the heifers.

Pastures consist of perennial and annual rye and clover, and the property boasts 3 centre pivot irrigators and a lateral sprinkler irrigation system, growing corn and lucerne along with summer forage crops. Machinery is very modern and well maintained and they have all their own gear to make pit and bale silage.

We are seeking a person who is passionate about stock, ideally with herd health and milking experience. You will have initiative, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is willing to grow and learn within the dairy industry. Further training is encouraged and the opportunity to do further courses and training are endorsed to further grow your knowledge and skills.

Offering a good hourly rate and accommodation to be negotiated with the successful applicant, transport is included, we provide a pick-up truck. Corryong is a lovely rural town offering primary and secondary schooling plus health facilities, shopping and sporting clubs along with a friendly and welcoming community.
