Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly reliable, experienced hands-on Assistant Egg Farm Manager to support our Farm Managers in daily operations and maintenance. This role offers a pathway to a full management position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to.
• Assist Farm Managers with overall day-to-day operations and maintenance.
• Oversee general bird husbandry, including maintaining water, feed, egg collection, manure collection, and environmental control systems.
• Manage and supervise a small team of dedicated farm workers.
• Optimize animal welfare practices.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in poultry farming, preferably in egg or broiler farming.
• Higher-level education is desirable.
• Demonstrated competence to step into or up to this role.
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Strong mechanical or technical maintenance skills.
• Australian residency and/or valid working visa. We can sponsor eligible candidates to obtain longer working visa.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation (essential).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to engage in hands-on tasks.
• Availability for full-time hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
Additional Requirements:
Due to biosecurity protocols, candidates must not have contact with any form of poultry, birds, or pigs.
