Experienced General Station Hand Position

Experienced General Station Hand Position for family operated cattle station located at Hart’s Range on Plenty Highway NT , 300 kms north, north- east of Alice Springs and 350 kms west of NT/Qland border .

We are keen to consider suitable person with minimum 3 years’ experience in beef breeding industry supplying for the domestic market.

Responsibilities

Checking and maintaining bores, water point facilities and fences

General station duties

General vehicle and machinery maintenance

Maintaining workshop, cattle yards, and infrastructure

Machinery operation , competent motor bike operation

Low stress cattle handling work in yards ( drafting, marking, branding, and processing )

Strong general mechanical knowledge and skills

Requirements

Driver’s Licence manual / open

Able to work independently

Good communications

Cattle handling experience skills

General station experience min 3 years with repairs & maintenance work skills

Own reliable transportation & hand tools

Must have English as first language

Willing to obtain police check

Reliable, trustworthy, good clean habits and presentation, and preferable nonsmoker

Min 3 years’ experience in similar role with supporting current work references

Air-conditioned single accommodation , Meals, WIFI , included in package offered. Wage negotiated on experience.

3-month minimum probation . To read, understand and sign Workplace Employment agreement.
