Chef/cook

Experienced and dynamic Chef/Cook wanted for busy, remote, outback pub / restaurant in the Lower Gulf region of North West QLD.

- Must have prior kitchen experience; and be mature, responsible and capable enough to work both alone and alongside a small friendly team to keep the kitchen clean, organised and fully functioning.
- Must have Food Safety Supervisor certification (or be willing to attain ASAP).
- full time hours; 5 days a week (Tuesday to Saturday) for both lunch and dinner service (and sometimes catering for special functions and other local events).
- Must be fully capable at stock control, ordering and maintaining any and all relevant food safety and hygiene compliance practices.
- Collaborative and creative control/input into menu items and daily specials.
- Must be able to start end of April or early May.
- 3-6 or 6-8 month casual contract available
- Generous salary package available $85K+ depending upon experience; including flights (potentially), accommodation, utilities and shift meals provided.

- This position is temporary full-time for the tourist season with the possibility of mutually extending the contract OR award level fixed-term casual contract for the 2025 tourist season (again; pay rate commensurate upon experience).
