Cleaner Position At Ams Mt Buller (2025 Winter Season)

AMS Mt Buller is currently seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to join our team as Casual Cleaners for the 2025 winter season. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with cleaning experience looking to live and work in a beautiful alpine resort environment. Cleaning is generally scheduled from Sunday to Friday, with most cleaners not required to work on Saturdays. Occasionally, you may be called upon for guest callouts. Cleaning for these callouts is scheduled between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM, allowing plenty of time for an early morning ski or snowboard session, or an afternoon activity.

Location: AMS Mt Buller, Victoria
Employment Type: Seasonal, Casual (Approx. 38 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and prepare guest apartments to the highest standards, following our detailed cleaning and setup checklist.
• Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, lounges, hallways, and balconies.
• Set up apartments with fresh linen and amenities.
• Track work time and jobs using QuickBooks Time.
• Report any maintenance issues or damage within apartments.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements:
• Prior cleaning experience, preferably in hotels or apartments.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying for extended periods.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong focus on arriving on time and completing tasks within scheduled time frames.
• Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete the cleaning checklist within the required hours.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, cooperating with others when needed to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with supervisors, team members, and guests for special requests.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment, ensuring safe usage to prevent accidents and damage.
• Strong organizational skills, particularly when managing multiple rooms or areas requiring attention.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules, particularly during busy or fluctuating seasons.
• A positive attitude and professionalism, maintaining a friendly demeanour and being courteous to both colleagues and guests.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is provided in a shared staff apartment on the mountain.
• Bedroom 1 (Male Room): Shared by 3 male staff members.
• Bedroom 2: Occupied by the owner and his family.
• Bedroom 3 (Female Room, Ensuite): Shared by 3 female staff members.
Rent will be charged for accommodation; details will be provided upon request.
Additional Information:
• The role starts mid-May and runs through until the end of the 2025 snow season, with dates dependent on snowfall.
• Staff are expected to follow AMS Mt Buller’s staff policies and procedures.
• Must be able to live and work in a shared accommodation environment.
