About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled hairdresser to provide a range of hairdressing services based on clients' needs, specifications, and preferences. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, stay up-to-date with the latest hairstyles and hairdressing techniques, and be adept at following client instructions to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their preferences, style preferences, and any specific requirements or concerns.
Hair Cutting: Perform precise hair-cutting techniques based on the client's desired style, considering face shape, hair texture, and current trends.
Hair Coloring: Apply various hair colouring techniques, including highlights, lowlights, balayage, and full-colour treatments, to achieve the desired look.
Hair Styling: Blow-drying, curling, straightening, and updos are used to style hair for special occasions, events, or daily wear.
Chemical Treatments: Administer chemical treatments such as perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
Hair Care and Maintenance: To maintain healthy and vibrant hair, recommend and perform hair care treatments such as deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and trims.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest hair care products and tools, and provide clients with guidance on at-home maintenance.
Client Education: Educate clients on proper hair care practices, styling techniques, and maintaining their desired look between salon visits.
Sanitisation and Cleanliness: To ensure a hygienic environment, maintain a clean and organised work area, sterilise tools, and adhere to health and safety standards.
Appointment Management: Scheduled and managed client appointments efficiently, considering the time required for various services and maintaining punctuality.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction with the salon experience.
Trend Awareness: Stay updated on current fashion and beauty trends, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Sales and Retail: Recommend and sell hair care products to clients based on their needs, contributing to retail sales and client satisfaction.
Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges related to hair treatments or styling, offering solutions and ensuring client comfort.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training sessions to enhance skills and stay abreast of industry trends.

Hair Coloring: Knowledge of different colouring methods, such as highlights, balayage, and ombre, and the ability to achieve desired colour results.
Hair Styling: Competence in various occasions of blow-drying, curling, straightening, and updo styling.

Experience is required
Intermediate-Level (2-5 years):
Proficiency in fundamental hairdressing skills, including cutting, colouring, and styling.
Experience working with a diverse range of clients and hair types.
Exposure to various hair care products and an understanding of their applications.
Knowledge of basic salon operations and customer service.
Advanced-Level (5+ years):
Mastery of a wide range of hairdressing techniques and styles.
Extensive experience in colour correction, advanced cutting techniques, and chemical treatments.
Proven ability to create custom styles based on clients' preferences and trends.
Strong client retention and a substantial client portfolio.
Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and train junior stylists.
Experience in salon management, including scheduling, inventory management, and retail sales responsibilities.
Participation in ongoing professional development and advanced training.
Specialised Experience:
Some positions may require experience in specialised areas, such as wedding styling, editorial work, or advanced colour techniques.
Certification or experience in specific treatments like keratin treatments or extensions.
Clientele and Portfolio:
A well-established clientele and a portfolio showcasing a variety of hairstyles and techniques.
