Live-In Carer Needed for Gentle Elderly Gentleman (Rushcutters Bay)

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable live-in carer to assist a gentle elderly gentleman in his 80s with mild dementia for a 2 months, starting around the 9th-12th of May. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience in aged care and who possesses a kind and patient temperament.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care, including showering and dressing in the morning and evening before bed.
- Offer companionship and support, ensuring the gentleman’s well-being and comfort.
- Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with minimal medication support.
- Engage in light activities, such as going for short walks in the nearby park or putting a movie on for him, or assisting him with a puzzle.
- Ensure the gentleman is never left alone, while the house owner can provide flexibility for some time off during the day or evenings after his bedtime.

Accommodation:

You will be provided with comfortable live-in accommodation in a well-appointed apartment in Rushcutters Bay.

The apartment is shared with a kind and easygoing female house owner in her 70s, and you will have a private bedroom.

The home is conveniently located near parks, cafes, and public transport, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Position Details:

Duration: 2 months, starting around May 9th-12th.
