Room Attendant

Job Summary:
The Room Attendant at The Lyall Hotel ensures impeccable cleanliness and comfort in guest rooms and public areas, upholding the hotel’s luxury standards. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Cleaning & Preparation:
I. Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and suites according to established protocols.
II. Replenish amenities (toiletries, linens, coffee supplies) and ensure all items are properly arranged.
III. Report maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Public Area Maintenance:
I. Maintain cleanliness of corridors, elevators, lobbies, and other shared spaces.
II. Ensure all areas are free of debris and meet hygiene standards.

Laundry & Linen Management:
I. Collect, sort, and replace linens, towels, and robes as needed.
II. Coordinate with outside laundry staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens.

Guest Interaction:
I. Respond courteously to guest requests (e.g., extra towels, pillows) promptly.
II. Respect guest privacy and adhere to "Do Not Disturb" signage.

Inventory & Supplies:
I. Monitor and restock housekeeping trolleys with cleaning supplies.
II. Report low inventory levels to the supervisor.

Lost & Found:
I. Document and hand over any guest belongings left in rooms to the Front Office.

Safety & Compliance:
I. Follow safety procedures (e.g., chemical handling, ladder use) and PPE guidelines.
II. Adhere to COVID-19 sanitation protocols if applicable.

Team Collaboration:
I. Assist colleagues during peak periods or special projects (e.g., deep cleaning, event setups).

Work Environment:
Fast-paced, physically demanding role requiring bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.

Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, morning and evening shift and occasional overtime.
