Disaster Recovery Army Incorporated Mid North Coast - New South Wales, New South Wales
2nd Year Visa Eligible
Job Description
Volunteers Needed Now to Support Disaster-Affected Communities in Australia
Areas that meet the requirements for visa 88 days now available.
Australia is currently facing challenges with devastating floods and severe droughts impacting communities nationwide. Right now, we urgently need compassionate and hardworking volunteers to step forward and make a real difference where it matters most.
Who We Need
We are looking for volunteers willing to assist in flood- and drought-affected areas. Whether you have experience or simply a willingness to help, your support is invaluable.
Volunteer Roles Include:
• Fencing: Repair and build fences essential for livestock and property protection.
• Clearing: Help clear debris and fallen trees to restore safe and accessible land.
• On-Farm Hands: Assist farmers with daily tasks to maintain their livelihood during these tough times.
• Cooks: Prepare meals to nourish volunteers and community members working hard on recovery efforts.
• Equipment Operators: Use machinery to support heavy lifting, clearing, and rebuilding functions.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering with disaster-affected communities offers many rewarding benefits beyond simply helping out, including:
• Make Lasting Memories: Experience meaningful moments helping others and witnessing the power of community spirit.
• Gain Valuable Experience: Build hands-on skills that can boost your resume and open new opportunities.
• Learn New and Transferable Skills: Develop practical abilities in areas like construction, farming, food preparation, and equipment operation.
• Make New Friends: Connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a positive impact.
Most importantly, your efforts will directly support communities striving to recover and rebuild after hardship. By volunteering, you become a hero in their story.
Join Us and Be a Hero
Now is the time to stand united and roll up your sleeves to aid flood and drought-affected regions across Australia. Every helping hand counts; together we can create hope, resilience, and renewed strength.
As a registered charity, your volunteered hours count toward achieving your visa 88 days when working in an approved area - we can place you in the right location to meet your needs.
We provide all meals and some accommodation can be arranged (limited numbers, in tents). If you have a van or roof top tent to accommodate yourself, we can provide a place to safely set that up.
