Farm Hand Machine Operator

About the role: We are looking for someone for the upcoming hay and harvest season within our Ag Contracting and farming business. We are looking to appoint an experienced, driven individual with a passion for farming.
Commencing September till end of December baling and header operation will be the primary roles for this job with the option to stay on for sowing till June 2026 and longer term employment for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
• Operate heavy machinery (including tractors, sprayer, windrower, balers, header, tillage equipment and loaders)
• Maintain and repair farm equipment and machinery
• Accurate record keeping of jobs completed

Skills and Experience:
• Good initiative is imperative, with the ability to think ahead
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Driver’s licence is essential
• Effective communication within the team and with clients is critical
• HR Truck licence would be advantage but not essential
• A positive can-do attitude is required

About the company: Pickles Ag is a family owned Agricultural Contracting business based in North Central Victoria. The business covers contract; disc chaining, speed-tilling, sowing, spreading, mowing, raking, large square bailing (8x4x3) and round baling. as well as 800ha and expanding broad acre and irrigation cropping consisting of barley vetch and oaten hay
