Kitchen Hand/cook Or Sous Chef

Sous Chef or Kitchen Hand ready for their next step up is required for a busy country pub servicing our local guests and accommodation clients.

We are looking for our next Kitchen Hand to step up into Sous Chef, working in a busy environment.

We pride ourselves on lifting the standard through our food, service and hospitality experience.

What you need to do:
A confident experienced kitchen hand with cooking experience
You must also be organised, able to follow policies and procedures
Sound understanding and high execution of HACCP
Own transport preferred as we are a rural location

What we’ll do for you:
Accommodation provided to the right applicant, 50 per week, paid back after a 6 month commitment
Work alongside a hands on Manager/Head Chef and a great team culture
Flexible roster suited to the right applicant

Our menu is made from scratch with an addition to a nightly buffet, so a keen eye for detail in following standard recipes is essential to provide quality and consistency to both our regular customers and boarders who have been staying with us for many years.

Accommodation is included in the way of an air-conditioned room with double bed, TV, and shared bathroom.
A roster to suit you will be discussed at interview.

Nebo is a remote country town just an hours drive to Mackay that has supermarkets and shopping centres.

The tourist town of Airlie Beach is just 2.5 hours away, there is more than one national park in the area to explore on days off. A couple of local bus companies service the area for trips to and from Mackay.
