Geological Technician

Munro Geological is looking for a Geological Technician to work in a mine core yard in the Northern Riverina district of NSW.
The role may include:

• Core cutting, marking up, sampling, photography and storage of core samples.
• data entry of geological results.
• Setting of grids for drilling.
• Collection of samples from ROM, field and drilling activities.
• General support to field exploration activities.
• Monitoring of stock inventory.
  This role will include:

*Adhering to all of the company’s and clients Policies and Procedures

• Be actively involved in the development of the company’s and clients Safety Procedures and Hazard Identification.

If you have experience in any of these areas we encourage you to apply. Previous experience as a Geologist/Geological Field Assistant or a Environmental Scientist/ Technician or a general laborer is desirable. Mining Industry Experience is also preferred, though not essential.

First aid and a drivers license are essential as well as a car.
This role is Drive in Drive out, thus you need to live no more than 3 hours from West Wyalong, NSW. The roster is 12 days on and 9 days off. 10 hour days. Accommodation is in a shared house/unit and food is reimbursed.

Role starts 30th June and will go until sometime in September. Ongoing work on other MGS projects may be available.
