Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Feed pigs and monitor water systems
• Clean pens, sheds, and equipment using high-pressure hoses and disinfectants
• Monitor pig health and report any signs of illness or injury
• Assist with birthing (farrowing), weaning, and handling of piglets
• Help with vaccinations, tagging, and treatments under supervision
• Load and unload animals, feed, and supplies
• Maintain hygiene and biosecurity protocols at all times
• Record data and follow farm procedures
• Operate basic machinery and assist with farm maintenance as required
? Own vehicle required

Our client is a well-established, family-owned pig production company with a proud history dating back to 1933. Operating across six farm sites in the Darling Downs, they’re one of the largest vertically integrated piggery operations in Australia, using modern facilities and equipment.
We’re currently recruiting 5 new team members to join their farming operations in regional Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity for backpackers, regional job seekers, or anyone interested in long-term agricultural work.

? ENTRY LEVEL ROLES AVAILABLE
1. General Hand (Hygiene & Cleaning Role)
• ? Monday to Friday
• ? 24.10/hr (full-time) or 30.13/hr (casual)
• ? Focus on hygiene, biosecurity, and site cleaning
• ✅ Easy-to-start role — no animal handling required
2. Animal Attendant / Stockperson Trainee
• ? Entry-level livestock handling role
• ? 11 days on, 3 days off roster
• ? 24.10/hr + performance bonuses:
• 75/week bonus after 3 months
• 150/week bonus after 6 months
• ? Full training provided — work with pigs in breeding and care roles

? REQUIREMENTS
• Must have your own vehicle (no public transport nearby)
• Must complete a pre-employment medical in Toowoomba (organised and paid for by our client)
• Physically fit and comfortable with indoor pig farming
• No prior experience needed — just a great work ethic
