A true Australian family opportunity is available for a fun loving & active Au Pair to be part of a wonderful family in Blackwater, Central Queensland.

Located 2 hours from Rockhampton, Blackwater is a great town with wonderful facilities including a gym, pool, hiking trails & fishing spots. You will have your own car to use on your time off to explore the area including good shopping districts in the surrounding towns.

On school holidays and whenever they can, the family leave town to go to either their family farm or family beach house. The family would love for you to join them on their holidays to these places. At the farm, there are lots of animals for you to see, and the beach is a beautiful spot with a creek and big river at either end, where the family go fishing and crabbing, which would be a great experience.

As part of your package you will receive generous weekly money, all your accommodation needs and all your meals. You will also have an opportunity to bonuses and a car for your personal use!

The family are active - the kids play sports all year round, mainly on a Saturday morning, and attend swimming lessons through the week. They also enjoy reading books together as a family before bed. The boys are all very self-sufficient when it comes to getting ready for school of a morning and can ride their bikes to and from themselves. So, unless it’s raining, driving them won’t be required.

Music is also a very big part of the family's weekends. The kids take in as many different genres of music, and this year they will be taking up music lessons for piano and guitar. The family spend quite a bit of time outside on the weekends, potting plants, and trying to raise vegetable seedlings. The kids enjoy being able to grow their own herbs and salads, and using them in the kitchen.
