Join Our Family In The Australian Countryside - Au Pair Position

We’re looking for a kind, confident, and fun-loving au pair to help look after our three children from the end of July onwards. The position is 3-6 months with the option to extend.

Ideally we would like someone who has previous experience as an au pair/nanny, or worked in childcare, and is comfortable looking after three children under four years old.

The au pair will live offsite in a cottage with other young people (between 18-25 years) who are working with the horses on my parents farm. It’s a great opportunity to make friends and have a guaranteed social circle, share meals and go the pub.

We live on a horse spelling stud just outside Scone, NSW, a charming country town about 3 hours from Sydney. We’ve got three kids - ages 4, 2 and 1 year old, plus a very enthusiastic blue heeler. Our life is full, warm, a little chaotic, and filled with fresh air, community, and plenty of time outdoors. We moved here from Sydney so our kids could enjoy the quintessential country childhood - horses, cattle, and neighbours who are like family. There's a great little community here with pubs, cafes, shops, and an easy drive or train ride to Sydney when we need a city fix.

You would work Monday to Friday with weekends off, and generally from 8-6pm with a two hour break in the middle of the day. We’d love someone who is a positive, playful presence to help with morning routines, outings to the park or pool, meal prep, and the dinner/bath/bed stretch in the evenings. For three days a week your primary responsibility will be the baby, and two days a week you may have all three when they are home from daycare.

A car is available to take the kids into daycare, the library or the park.
