A unique opportunity for a working holiday makers or backpackers to spend time in the great Aussie Outback, working for a friendly organisation restoring period homes.

We are a well established property maintenance and renovation company beginning 2016 on the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria). We now have a number of opportunities within our renovation division in Broken Hill (N.S.W) restoring period homes.

If you have skills and/or experience in painting and decorating we want to hear from you!
If you have any additional skills/experience in carpentry, handy person style jobs, plastering, tiling, landscaping etc please also list these. If you are handy on the tools and have some experience across these fields, this may be the experience for you!

This is a 4 weekly contract employed casually (or as a contractor if you prefer) for approx. 38 hours per week, with the potential to continuing on a month to month basis. Best suited to couples, but we do consider solo travellers too.
Rates are base on industry award rates and may vary depending on age and experience (Usually between 30-35 per hour).

The package includes accommodation at the property you will be working at.
You will have exclusive access/run of the home whilst working.
The property is a 3 bedroom fully furnished home with modern bathroom and kitchen, located approx.3 minutes drive to the main street of Broken Hill.

Broken Hill is one of Australia's most famous outback towns and Australia’s first heritage-listed city. With a spectacular desert landscape, mining history, some of the biggest music festivals, art galleries, museums and more, the legendary outback city of Broken Hill is rich with history, a vibrant artistic community and a cast of colourful characters. It's also become famous for it's box office films shot within the area including Mad Max 2, The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Mission Impossible II, and the US HBO series The Leftovers to name a few.

Broken hill can be quite a sleepy town so you should be prepared to have a more laid back experience than you may be used to.
