Backpacker Experience opportunity to stay in the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges, just an hour outside of Melbourne.
We are looking for a few backpackers who are self motivated & hard working and fit. Ideally a couple or friends travelling together to help us out on our beautiful 6 acre property in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges for about 4-5 days at a time. Extended positions available for the right travellers to stay for up to 14 days.
In exchange for help we
will put you up in our gorgeous Writer’s Studio, feed you really well and make sure you have a fun awesome experience on one of the most beautiful properties in the Dandenong Ranges.
Wildlife abounds on and around our property and you are likely to see wallabies, echidnas, lyrebirds and even platypus in the Sassafras creek which runs past the front of our property.
Our ideal Backpackers are travellers who want an Australian wildlife experience and who love the outdoors, but still want to be within easy enough reach of Melbourne CBD.
General job tasks will include:
- Gardening/weeding
- General Cleaning
- Glass cleaning
- Painting
- Hedge Trimming
- Grass Strimming
- Leaf Blowing / Raking
- Stacking fire wood
- Carpentry work
- Burn Piles
- Water Pressure Cleaning
- General Maintenance
Anyone with gardening, carpentry or farming experience a bonus but you don’t need any experience for this job.
Morning shifts so that the rest of the time you can do your own thing. You can explore the many hiking trails that pass past Dingleigh, or catch a direct train into the city. You can even work another job for income in the afternoons or evenings if you wish in your off time. Work shifts 8am-2pm daily.
