Job Description
We are looking for a special person who has a medical/therapy background (eg occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nurse) or someone who has disability support worker experience, who is looking to do a combination of farmwork and disability support .
About us: We are on a farm located 30km east from Mungindi NSW 2406, a lovely town located on the NSW/QLD border, offering a wonderful social inclusive community. On our farm we grow winter and summer crops, and also have some cattle. My husband and I own and run the farm along with our 3 children Our youngest child is 7, has high additional needs and requires full time care. Our son goes to school during the day so I am looking for support before and after school and on the weekends. As a support worker we are seeking someone who can build a deep and meaningful connection with our child, understanding their unique needs and providing compassionate personalised care. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and perform tasks specific to our childs needs.
Farmwork - on a school day while not helping with the care of our youngest child we can offer you farmwork to go towards your 88 days. This will entail general farm duties, irrigating crops over summer and help with the upcoming harvest in October/November. We employ 6 other staff who also reside on the farm.
You must have very good English, be willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months, be fit and must be a responsible experienced driver with a valid licence.
We offer onfarm self contained accommodation with electricity and wifi included. Renumeration based on experience. It would be best to have your own vehicle to use in your personal time.
