**Location**
Sydney Basin + Regional NSW (within ~350 km of Sydney)
Work is on the road (mobile crew). Camp-outs for multi-day runs.

Immediate (peak season September–December, with ongoing work through April each year)

Competitive hourly/day rates based on experience + **paid trial**

**About the role**
We’re a fully mobile shearing service handling **sheep, goats & alpacas**, plus general livestock husbandry. Work involves extended travel and **camp-outs** across the outer Sydney Basin, the NSW East Coast, and surrounding regional areas (up to ~350 km). Vehicles are set up for remote, extended work/living on the road.
**This role also includes light admin/bookings support**: helping coordinate shearing runs, confirming appointments, replying to messages, and basic data entry (email, **Excel, Outlook, and simple MS Access**). **Good navigation/map skills** are a plus. We’re hiring one hard-working, reliable, honest crew member for the 2025 season and beyond.

**Roles**

* **Shearer** – Experienced or willing to learn (training available)
* **Livestock Handler** – Animal handling, yard setup/pack-down, shed flow, wool handling, general husbandry
* **All-rounder / Offsider* ** (building & handyman support) – Team player, quick thinker, gets the job done; good customer relations & communication
* **On-Call/Casual** – Fill-ins for busy periods and weather windows

**What you’ll do**

* Assist daily shearing operations and equipment prep
* Handle/pen livestock safely; set up panels/yards (25–35 kg)
* Assist with **handling & husbandry** of livestock
* Maintain good shed flow and animal-welfare standards
* Travel with the team; **camp-outs** as required (accommodation provided)
* **Admin & bookings support**: coordinate daily/weekly runs, confirm client times, keep simple records (Excel/MS Access), manage **email/Outlook** replies, and follow maps/GPS to jobs

**Must-haves**

* **Physically fit** and comfortable working outdoors in rural settings
* **PPE:** steel-cap boots, long pants, hat, gloves
* **Reliable transport**, early starts, and valid work rights in Australia
* Comfortable travelling across outer Sydney/regions and **camping out**
* **Basic computer skills** (email, Excel, Outlook); willing to learn simple MS Access tasks
* **Navigation confidence** (maps/GPS, following routes to rural properties)

**Nice to have (bonus)**

* Experience with **shearing or livestock** (sheep/goats/alpacas)
* MR/HR truck **licence**, First Aid, or farm-machinery skills
* Prior admin/dispatch or bookings experience
