Job Description
Carrington Ginning – 2025 Maintenance Season (Goondiwindi, QLD)
Full-time & Contract (3–6 months) | October 2025 – March 2026
Carrington Ginning is a family-owned and operated company, proud to provide a safe, supportive, and team-focused working environment. We’re seeking applications for a range of roles at our Goondiwindi Ginning & Warehousing Facility for the 2025 maintenance season.

•Mechanical Trades
•Loader Operator
•Forklift Operators (Warehouse)
•Marker / Cleaners (Warehouse)
•Yardman
•Administrator / Weighbridge Coordinator (Harvest)
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking team-oriented individuals who are reliable, hard-working, and flexible—ready to bring their skills and learn new ones along the way. Ideally you have experience in some of the following:
•Mechanically minded, or trade experience/qualifications in Fabrication & Welding, Fitting & Turning, and/or Electrical
•Licensed or experienced in heavy machinery and/or forklift operation (essential for warehouse forklift roles)
•Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, initiative, and a strong work ethic
•Available for the full season (October–March)
You Must Have
•Your own transport
•Unrestricted right to work in Australia
•Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening
Whether you hold a trade qualification in welding, fabrication, or fitting, or are simply mechanically minded and enjoy hands-on work—like repairing machinery, working with tools, or even restoring cars as a hobby—joining our maintenance crew could be the ideal summer job for you. We provide full training and a safe, supportive environment; if you’ve got the right attitude and willingness to learn, we’ll help you succeed.
Alternatively, if you hold a forklift licence or have experience in warehouses or logistics, a forklift operator role could be a great fit. If you’re confident moving freight, enjoy being part of a busy team, and like the idea of playing a key role in getting product from the shed to the ship, joining our warehouse crew could be the opportunity for you. Previous experience is valued, and we’re keen to hear from motivated people ready to learn and grow with us.

The Carrington Cotton Group is a privately owned family Agri business with farming operations in Northern NSW and Southern QLD, based in Goondiwindi.
Our farming activities involved both irrigated and broadacre cropping:
• Cotton • Grains - Wheat / Barley / Faba Beans / Chickpeas
• Fodder crops - Corn / Oats / Sorghum
Alongside our cropping operations we also operate a Cotton Gin and Warehousing facility, which provides ginning and warehouse services to cotton producers in the MacIntyre Valley.
The business is also involved in the beef cattle industry, operating a Feedlot in conjunction with several background grazing properties in the Goondiwindi region.
In addition to our farming activities, we also operate Motel and Carvan Park.
