Functions & Events Manger

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organised Events Manager to join our team. This role is hands-on and dynamic, involving the coordination of all event enquiries, bookings, and on-the-day execution. From the first client interaction to the final farewell, you will ensure every event at The Mayfair is delivered to the highest standard.

This position is 35–40 hours per week and is eligible for 88-day regional work sign-off under the Working Holiday Visa program.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all event enquiries, client meetings, and bookings.
- Coordinate weddings, private functions, and corporate events from start to finish.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and event schedules.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to design menus and packages.
- Lead event-day operations, supervising staff and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Monitor budgets and reporting for events.
- Assist with marketing initiatives to drive event bookings.

About You
- Experience in hospitality or event management (preferred, but training can be provided).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Customer-focused, with a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Eligible for 88-day sign-off (Working Holiday Visa holders welcome).
