Hi
First time a host, in past I've done years of backpacking, but never thought I'll be a host! Anyway there is always a first time.
Down to business
I need a person or a couple people for heaps of jobs on my small hobby farm. Have been doing them myself, but running out of time before wet season.
- lots of palm trees to chop down and put through mulcher
- dragon fruit trellis to be built
- large passion fruit trellis to be built (5x30m)
- lots of planting of hedges, veggies
- fruit tree pruning
- more hole digging - this time by hand- one of the pipes between swimming pool and pump has a leak which has to be located
- timber playground to be built
- if its raining there are jobs to be done indoors, ripping old tiles, putting timber floor in, or painting
What we offer
- flexible work - but a minimum of 30h of work a week distributed to your liking
- if you after the money and wanna do more work - ie. squeeze 60h of work into one week - we will pay you accordingly
- preferably 1-2 weeks try out first, possible to stay longer if things go well
- pay rates will depend onwhether you want
-- full room and full board
-- live independent in your campervan, camping on the property (you can use power/shower/wifi)
-- or anywhere in between the two options above. Again we are quite flexible. Rates will be from 5/h when choosing full room and board to 15/h if you are independent/self sustainable.
- you can use swimming pool, make fires, eat produce from the farm
- guests and parties - possible, to be discussed
- located in Tully, about 2km from the town centre
To be aware
- we have a little child - noise has to be kept downfrom time to time
- we have dogs - very pleasant
- we have free roaming chickens
- we are a bit green and like to live off solar power, avoid turning all the aircons on all the time
- we have fast internet, but dont have a TV unit
