Aged Care Au Pair

We are looking for a live-in au pair to help care for our mum. Bed and board provided, plus allowance, in exchange for 30 hours a week.
Mum is in her mid 80s, and has Alzheimers. You would join us on her care roster - there's lots of people to share the workload. She needs 24/7 supervision to keep her safe, as she is both forgetful and not always steady on her feet. Some evening and weekend shifts are needed.
TASKS: some meal preparation and household tasks (we do have a weekly cleaner come in); personal care (showering and toileting), keeping mum company (watching TV, doing puzzles/playing games, going for drives if you have a licence).
THE HOUSEHOLD: it's complex and busy! There's three adult siblings and one spouse living on the property. We have outside work commitments on top of our farm and caring commitments. There's also three (lively and delightful) school-aged children every second week. It's a big property with lots of space, but there's always someone around to talk to. You would have your own room, TV, internet, shared bathroom (house has multiple bathrooms).
It is a working farm (small acerage), with sheep, chooks, cows and market gardens. We are just out of town - it's a beautiful location, but there's no public transport. Your own car would be an advantage, but if not there is always someone coming or going into town.
LOCATION: stunning south coast NSW. We are close to the river, and 10 minutes from the beach (well, a ton of gorgeous beaches). Our small country town has a vibrant fresh food and cafe culture, with a fairly limited night life.
YOU: Above all, you are kind, patient and gentle. Mum is very sweet, and with her Alzheimers she "loops" a lot, which requires patience. For mum's safety, we need you to have strong communication skills in English. You value nutrition, and are happy to eat healthily and prepare fresh, healthy food. Mum is diabetic, and her diet impacts her cognition, so maintaining healthy food practices in the common areas of the house is important. You are easy-going, cheerful, and can cope with a certain level of chaos, while preferably not adding to it!!
While none of the following are deal-breakers, it could help if you have:
- experience with Alzheimers
- experience in Aged Care
- drivers licence
- own vehicle
