Hi,

I have 1-2 empty, furnished room in Yass NSW (50 mins from Canberra). I'm looking for 1-2 backpackers who may wish to live there for a few weeks in exchange for 7 hours gardening each per week.

You could pretty easily pick up paid work in Canberra (50 minutes away by car, some infrequent buses dun between Yass and Canberra). It might suit backpackers looking for somewhere free to stay for a few weeks while they save.

The house has 4 bedrooms and is old but nicely renovated and furnished. It’s a share house living with 2 other people, both working full time.

The gardening work needed does not require specific skills and includes:
- moving soil and mulch to build garden beds and paths
- wood chipping branches with a wood chipper machine (I can show you how)
- painting pavers
