Social Media/Marketing Assistant

**This is an 88 day position**

You will be working closely with our administrator, Bianca.

Photography and/or videography skills or qualifications is highly regarded.

Task Description:
1. Create and manage social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — including photos, videos, reels, and stories.
2. Develop a consistent posting schedule and content calendar aligned with the hostel’s branding and seasonal events.
3. Capture and edit high-quality photography and videography showcasing hostel life, guests, and the Gladstone region.
4. Promote events and activities through engaging posts, stories, and Facebook event pages.
5. Engage with the online community by responding to comments, DMs, and encouraging guest-generated content.
6. Collaborate with local businesses and tourism operators to highlight regional attractions and partnerships.
7. Design and distribute marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital ads for local and online promotion.
8. Monitor and report social media analytics to track growth, engagement, and booking inquiries.
9. Support creative campaigns and promotional videos, including the 88 Days marketing project and event recaps.
10. Maintain brand consistency and tone across all digital content — friendly, adventurous, and authentic.

If you want to run a yoga class, that is cool with us.

If you know a drinking game that is illegal in some different countries, we are interested.

Our door is aways open to new team members who can show us their commitment.

You must be able to enjoy sunset cruises, 4WD beach driving, kayaking rivers and other adventures!
