Position: Guest Services
Hours: Casual shifts across weekdays and weekends (12 hours per week)
Location: Bayside House
Minimum Commitment: 1-month stay
Role Purpose
This role keeps the hostel humming through the late afternoon and evening. You’ll help guests, smooth over access issues, and keep the space tidy and welcoming as the day winds down.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist guests with keycard access and reissues
• Handle guest questions in person and via phone
• Complete light housekeeping tasks such as general tidy-ups, wipe-downs, and bin checks
• Change linen at check out and assist with laundry when needed (folding, swapping loads, storing linen)
• Carry out property walk-throughs to ensure common areas are clean, safe, and presentable
• Keep an eye on guest behaviour to support a respectful and relaxed environment
• Report maintenance concerns and any incidents to management
