Full-Time Mechanic – 4WD Hire Fleet

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Full-Time Mechanic to maintain and service our busy 4WD hire fleet operating on K’gari (Fraser Island). This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working on rugged vehicles driving on the largest sand island! We encourage 482 subclass visa holders to apply!
Key Responsibilities
• Servicing, maintenance and repairs of 4WD hire vehicles
• Pre- and post-hire inspections
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing timely repairs
• Preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Liaising with operations staff regarding vehicle readiness
• Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and accurate service records
Skills & Experience
• Qualified Motor Mechanic (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience with 4WDs (Toyota/LandCruiser experience highly regarded)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Manual driver’s licence (HR/MR licence an advantage)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
