About us
Mercure Rockhampton is located at the heart of the city, just a short drive from the Rockhampton Airport. The perfect location for accessing the famous Great Keppel Island and other spectacular locations along the Capricorn Coast. The hotel overlooks the picturesque Fitzroy River and offers an outdoor pool, fitness centre as well as 24hour reception. Each room features a private balcony and modern amenities.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum 12 months experience in hotel reception
Strong customer service skills
Intermediate or higher computer skills including microsoft products
Current QLD RSA (or ability to obtain within 3 days of employment)
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work a 7 day roster across both day and night shifts
Tasks & responsibilities
Check guests in and out
Reservations
Respond to incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
Operate PABX telephone system
Coordinate meeting room facilities
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of reception area
Role model excellent customer service at all times
Knowledge of local area
Handle customer requests and complaints
Follow Accor policies and procedures + OHS procedures
