Maintenance / Handyperson

Resource Accommodation Management (RAM) owns and operates a 88 room motel in the heart of Newman WA as well as a Mining Village in Norseman WA. Both sites are centrally located in the heart of the townships

We work as both a motel for casual visitors and longer term accommodation for those working in the resources industry.

We are looking for a capable and experienced handy person who can carry out the following duties;

- grounds maintenance, mowing, whipper snipping, weed spraying.
- pool cleaning and testing
- waste management
- first response to maintenance issues from clients or noted by guests.
- carrying out minor repairs at site (eg door locks, tuning TV's, dealing with a blocked sink).
- coordinating trades who may be required for repairs (plumbing, electrical).
- working with small projects as required.
- WWTP daily inspections and testing

We are seeking proactive and energetic persons. Support is provided through the manager, but we want someone who can take initiative and be a self starter through weekly tasks as opposed to requiring regular follow up throughout each day.

We are looking for a minimum 6 month commitment. Note that we are be able to provide work for a partner who can work in housekeeping or the dining room. These roles would suit couples with one partner having experience in maintenance with the other in general hospitality.

Accommodation is provided.

Our hourly flat rate is 37.10 but we will offer a higher rate for an experienced / skilled person. This role will also qualify for a retention bonus.
