Sous - Chef

The Alyangula Golf Club on Groote Eylandt in the NT is looking for a full-time qualified sous - chef to join our highly skilled kitchen staff. This position involves a 3-month probationary period. This is A live on position. We at the golf club operate a busy bistro and kitchen that offers catering, breakfast buffet and cater to big golf events.
We are looking for a Sous - chef with a minimum of 1 year experience with plenty of knowledge of Australian cuisine. Minimum stay of 6 - 12 months is essential. Willing to hire a casual employee in this position too.

Salary expectations - 74,000 - 78,000 @90hrs per fortnight.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Creation of special meals
• Running of kitchen when Head chef is off duty
• Assisting in head chef duties outside of kitchen
• Training and encouraging casual and younger staff
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen
• Reporting health and safety protocols
• Reporting maintenance faults within the kitchen
