PART-TIME RECEPTION, EVENTS & HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT – LONGFORD, TAS

Brickendon Estate is seeking a part-time staff member for reception, events, and light household support.
This role is not full-time, but offers guaranteed weekend hours plus optional weekday work.

Guaranteed hours
• Fridays & Saturdays – 9:00am to 5:30pm
• Minimum 17 guaranteed hours per week
• These hours count toward your 88 days/417/462 visas (eligible work)

Additional hours (not guaranteed)
• Short weekday shifts (approx. 2–3 hours at a time) may be available for:
• Reception and café support (making coffee, light food service)
• Au pair–style help: light nannying, laundry, basic gardening
• Some Sundays and Mondays (covering other staff holidays)
• Extra hours during events and busy periods (Feb and March are busy periods)

Duties
• Reception desk work (greeting visitors, bookings, enquiries)
• Café duties including making coffee
• Event assistance (set-up, pack-down, catering support)
• Light household tasks as listed above

Requirements
• Excellent spoken and written English – essential
• Confident with visitors and families
• Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working independently
• Hospitality, reception, childcare, or au pair experience preferred

Accommodation
• Available in Launceston
• 150 per week
• Very basic but clean and comfortable flat

• Part-time role only
• Friday and Saturday hours are guaranteed
• Weekday and household hours are optional and variable
