CHEF / KITCHEN MANAGER

Soul Food Depot & Gallery requires an experienced Kitchen Manager who is motivated and passionate about cooking simple wholesome food.

The role:
You are essential to supporting the successful operation of the kitchen on a daily basis. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Supporting management of the Kitchen team
• Coordinate and guide kitchen staff to deliver high quality, well presented food for Dine in and takeaway
• You will be responsible for ensuring all meals are plated and cooked correctly before being served to customers
• Conduct kitchen quality control measures including stock & inventory management, daily task lists and cleaning rosters
• Ensure company compliance of all OH&S/WH&S requirements including kitchen cleanliness staff/customer safety

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have 4+ years' experience
• Proven leadership/management experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of stock and inventory control
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with high pressure
• Produce quality product with exceptional presentation
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks and understand sequence of service
• Have excellent communication and leadership skills
• Be reliable and able to work on weekends
• Have excellent personal hygiene and presentation
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
