The Daylesford Hotel is a much-loved country pub in the heart of Daylesford, known for good food, warm hospitality, and a strong connection to the local community. Recently refreshed, the hotel includes a busy bistro, multiple bar spaces, and a kitchen that values teamwork, pride in service, and doing things properly.

The Role

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Hand (KP) to join our kitchen team.

This role is primarily focused on:
• Dishwashing and keeping the kitchen clean and organised
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep where needed
• Supporting the kitchen during busy services
• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times

It’s a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys being part of a fast-paced but well-run kitchen.

What We’re Looking For
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy but orderly environment
• A positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential

You’ll be working alongside a wonderfully talented, multicultural kitchen team, with chefs from Nepalese, Indian, French, Dutch, English, Australian, Sri Lankan, Italian and Korean backgrounds. It’s a supportive environment where everyone pulls together.

Hours & Employment
• Part-time and casual roles available
• Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends
• Consistent hours available for the right person
