General Hand – Food Processing & Packing

Duration: Up to 6 months (performance-based, with potential extension)

About the Opportunity
SkillHaus is partnering with Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company (APPC) – a leading agribusiness in Robinvale with an annual turnover exceeding 80 million. We're seeking 6 motivated and reliable General Hands to join our team for the 2025/2026 harvest season.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced food processing environment with a company that values safety, quality, and positive workplace culture.

What You'll Be Doing
Your daily duties will vary across the processing line and may include:
• Processing – Assisting with silo unloading, drying, grading, roasting, and general processing tasks
• Packing – Filling cartons, sacks, and bags; ensuring seals are tight; checking labels are legible and correct
• Quality Control – Monitoring for foreign objects or contamination to ensure high food safety standards
• Hygiene – Performing cleaning duties using correct colour-coded equipment and maintaining a clean work area
• Forklift Operations (if licensed) – Loading trucks, moving bins for processing, and tipping stock for grading

What We're Looking For
Essential:
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Right to work in Australia
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
• Reliable and punctual with a positive, "can-do" attitude
Desirable:
• Valid forklift licence (High Risk Work Licence – LF class)
• Previous experience in food processing, packing, or warehouse work

Employment Terms

• Contract type: Casual labour hire through SkillHaus (Jobfito Pty Ltd)
• Award: Horticulture Award 2020
• Hours: As required by operational demands (may include day and night shifts)
