Job Description
The Territory Manor is located in Mataranka approximately 1 hour south of Katherine and 4 hours south of Darwin. Our restaurant caters to visitors, guests, and corporate clients.
We currently have a vacancy for a hardworking reliable chef/short hand cook to assist with running our busy kitchen which is open from the beginning of March 2026
The applicant should be well presented, have excellent organisational skills. The ability to work with minimal supervision and at times be the sole person in the kitchen, be reliable for early morning starts and be flxible with corporate/cliential needs for additional open times through the busy season, must be able to follow food and prep procedures. Must have cooking experience, generous employment package.
Duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking food such as burgers, pizzas, menu meals
- Stock level controls and assist in stock order
- Assist with unloading of kitchen deliveries
- Operating fryer and grill
- Live in position. Own room with Ensuite
- 6 to 9 hours per day (potential split shift)
- 4 months commitment required
