LOOKING FOR EXPERIANCE Chef/Cook:
Best Western Cattle City Motor Inn is seeking a talented and experienced Cook/Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team in Rockhampton. This casual position offers approximately 35 hours per week (consistent weekly hours) and provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced and professional kitchen environment.
We are committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences to our motel guests and corporate clients, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our menu
• Ensuring food presentation and consistency meet our standards
• Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene practices
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver efficient service
• Assisting with menu improvements and daily specials
• Managing prep work and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen
• Following established procedures and kitchen protocols
👨🍳 What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook or Chef in a similar hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Solid understanding of food safety standards (Food Safety Certificate preferred)
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
• Passion for delivering high-quality meals
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
