We’re now looking for an experienced, energetic, and passionate vintage assistant winemaker to join our high-quality winery team, working closely with both winemaking and vineyard crews.

THE ROLE - As Vintage Assistant Winemaker, you will:
- Support the Winemaker across all stages of production — from grape intake through to final blend and bottling.
- Coordinate and supervise cellar operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high standards.
- Conduct fermentation monitoring, additions, racking, blending,barrel management, and other cellar processes.
- Assist on laboratory analysis and contribute to quality control and sensory evaluation of wines.
- Assist in vintage management, including supervising cellar staff and scheduling work priorities.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with winery systems, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute ideas and technical input into blending, trials, and wine style development.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- A degree or diploma in Oenology/Wine Science (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in winemaking or senior cellar roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of fermentation, blending, and cellar practices.
- Leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate cellar staff.
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with winery software, compliance, and reporting systems.
- Flexibility and stamina to thrive during vintage and busy periods.
- A genuine passion for fine wine and a collaborative mindset.
