A wonderful opportunity to join a warm, friendly, and outdoorsy family living in Medowie, NSW, on a quiet acreage just outside Port Stephens! This lovely family are looking for their first Au Pair to help care for their two sons, ages 2 and 6, while supporting their daily routines and activities.

You’ll be providing approximately 30–35 hours per week of care, including school and daycare drop-offs and pick-ups, meal times, play, and age-appropriate activities such as outdoor adventures, reading, and creative play. Flexibility is appreciated as the parents have varying work schedules, including FIFO work and occasional travel. This role would suit someone confident with toddlers and early primary-aged children, who can provide nurturing, consistent care while supporting the family’s routines and household needs. Light household tasks related to the children are also included.

The family live in a comfortable 3-bedroom home with open living areas, set on a spacious property with outdoor space. You’ll have your own private studio next to the house, which includes a bedroom, study, kitchenette, bathroom, TV, and Wi-Fi — a cozy and independent space to relax when you need a break.

This placement involves caring for a child with severe allergies to egg, dairy, sesame, and Brazil nuts, so an Au Pair who is allergy-aware is essential. The family will provide full guidance and support, and first aid training will be arranged if needed.

Medowie is a peaceful town with local shops, cafes, and playgrounds within walking distance, and it’s 30 minutes from Newcastle and beautiful Port Stephens beaches. A car is essential for this placement, with occasional access to the family vehicle for local travel.
