Maintenance Specialist

Mom Darwin is a bustling 400-bed party hostel, cafe and bar located in the heart of Darwin City centre. We pride ourselves on providing a dynamic and lively atmosphere for travellers from all around the world. As we strive to maintain our hostel to the highest standards, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for ensuring the hostel remains in top-tier condition by performing a variety of tasks, including:

Plumbing: Repairing blocked pipes and leaking taps.

HVAC: Changing and servicing box air conditioners.

Carpentry & Repairs: Patching holes in walls and fixing/reinforcing bunk beds.

General Upkeep: Handling various "random" maintenance jobs and preventative tasks as they arise.

Safety & Efficiency: Ensuring the timely completion of all tasks to uphold the safety and comfort of our guests while collaborating with our front-of-house and bar teams.

Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in general maintenance or a related trade is preferred.

Certification: A trade certification is highly desirable.

Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Availability: Flexibility to work five days a week, including occasional weekends as required.

Communication: Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
